Because in some parts of the high ways depending on where you are they have this real real thick while line across the highway at one point to another point and there will usually be a helicopter around and they can determine how fast your going by how quickly you get from that start point of the long white line to the end point. And POPO "police" will come sneaking out from now where sometime and give you a ticket. But you will probably be on no highway like that though so you will be cool. But most people (Americans) don't even have clue why that's there. But just be easy as you drive okay because they may charge you reckless driving. Even on the local roads okay most defiantly be aware of the speeds. Just try and stay with 5 to 10mph over okay.
And how are you going be using a laptop while you drive silly. With the phone different places has different laws. IF you have head set or blue tooth your cool or talk on speaker. But you should be cool though regardless. Just be carefully and aware when text and driving. And most gas station will be right off the high way usually, you will see signs. Some states do have the gas station right on the highway, but where you be I don't think they do. Using Hotwire or Priceline are good ways to find good rates on hotel and cars as well, so check those in case you have not. But you can find some killer deals with those website, you can even name your prices as well.
Far as care rental National, Budget, Avis any of those are fine and I think there is Hertz can't remember but any of those rental places are cool.
The Navigation is pretty good out here so if you have one that's good and in some of the cars rental will have navigation in the cars. O yeah when you get car rental beware that some of them can keep track of your AVG. Speed okay.
