I have been approached by several companies this week seeking to hire .NET Architects early next year. Locations vary from Dublin to Ennis to Cork and beyond. Below please find the job descriptions for the Cork based role and the Ennis based role. ROLE A ) Systems Architect - Microsoft
Location: Cork (permanent role)
Salary up to : ─73,000 with bonus and excellent benefits package.
You will be responsible for the architecture and design of Client server enterprise systems and be a key mentor and developer in the software delivery phase. Requirements analysis. Work closely with: Solutions Architect, Business Process Analysts, Business Analysts, and Technical Service IS personnel, as part of a team defining system requirements with users. Technical Leadership and Design:- Definition and architectural design of highly transactional client/server systems. Lead evaluation of technical design reviews, present options and decide on solutions to accomplish IT projects. This includes task resource estimation and "Scope Of Work creation. Development and Delivery Spends 30% of time developing applications. This includes coding in multi-tier Client Server environment. Assures quality solutions by delivering robust, flexible, reusable, efficient and scalable IT applications. Assists with the installation of new systems as required and the on-going efforts to support existing applications with site IT functions. Project / Change management Ensure consistent compliance to Software development change-management procedures and support/champion on-going improvements. Develop, maintain and report on project plans as assigned. Works effectively with Offshore teams at any stage in Life Cycle. Development and Test Standards and Environments Establishes design standards and principles in a collaborative way with the development team. Evaluation and implementation of development tools. Develop, evaluates and recommends new methods and tools in software development life cycle (MS .Net, Integration). Experience :- Minimum of 7 years in designing and development of IT systems. Detail understanding of Software development life cycle and Change management. Successful management of IT projects from inception to completion. Strong Object Oriented design skills and Design patterns knowledge.Multi-Tier systems development in Microsoft .Net server and client environments. Multi-Threaded programming. Database design (MS SQL Server) and ADO.Net experience. Extensive coding in VB.Net and C#, ASP.Net, JavaScript, Soap and Web Services experience minimum 1 years experience) good architectural experience. Experience in supporting source code branching and versioning. Passion for good customer experience and technology. Any of the following would be desirable :- Understand software design services to local and remote customers. Process and Data modelling. EDI/B2B - XML/XSTL, Cyclone, MQ Series. Internet Technologies. Databases:Warehousing Middleware Modelling tools Mapping Distributed design (streaming) Experience in a supply-chain environment. Experience in working with Off-Shore partners. Agile Development methodologies. Ideally your industry background would be manufacturing / medical or financial ( ideal but not essential).
ROLE B) .NET Architect
Location: Ennis
Salary up to ─75,000 & package
You will have a B.Sc. In computer science or similar with 8+yrs industry experience and be hands on. Strong design, development and architectural skills. Financially strong , my clients systems are highly complex and technically demanding. Technical environment is :- SQL SERVER, ASP.NET, WEB SERVICES, C#, SHAREPOINT, AJAX, VB. You will have strong .NET skills and be using it for at least
2+years industry experience. Great opportunity to join this fast paced moving organisation.
