I’m on the lookout for a Lead Software Engineer for a key client of mine based in the heart of Dublin City Centre. As a Lead Software Engineer you will be joining a company that empower companies all over the world to not only collect but truly understand large volumes of human-generated content, they create their products by using AI powered analytics technologies with web-scale aggregation of unstructured data and content.

What you’ll be doing as a Technical Lead:

• Own the system, be aware of its status at all times, and direct its transformations at a macro level
• Create a technical vision and roadmap; incrementally transform the architecture
• Contribute to the development of my clients products, and ensure continuous delivery of value to our customers by developing, maintaining and improving software
• Collaborate with product management to provide feedback on the product roadmap from an engineering standpoint
• Carefully interpret product roadmap, and consider long-term and strategic goals in architectural decisions
• Mentor team members, and promote adoption of new engineering best practises

Experience you will need for this Technical Lead position:

• Experience with owning large-scale data processing workflows
• Deep understanding of delivery and engineering best practices
• Significant experience with the technologies used in my clients stack or similar technologies, for instance – Python, Scala, Java, Ruby, etc...
• HTTP (REST) APIs and networking
• Cloud computing services

Bonus experience as a Technical Lead:

• Containerization technology (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes)
• Interest in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and related topics
• Domain knowledge and passion for the news and media intelligence industry
