Я считаю, что да, хотя это и не имеет практического отношения к засчитыванию курсов/получению кредитов (я имею ввиду, то что я считаю ). Судите сами: в гимназии, в которой учатся мои дети можно получить IB (Higher Level - IB существует в нескольких вариантах, Higher Level - наиболее высокий и "интересный") и французский Baccalauréat параллельно к немецкому Abitur.
Чтобы получить французский Baccalauréat в дополнение к немецкому Аби достаточно иметь французский профильным до конца школы (школа с французским и английским "трилингуалом"). Чтобы получить IB надо работать и работать в дополнение к Аби: посещать дополнительные курсы, которые немецкой программой и не предусмотрены, сдавать массу дополнительных экзаменов + отработать Х часов на общественно-полезных работах (см. указанную страницу). Так что судите сами.
В англоязычном мире в отличии от немецкоязычного () существует понятие "College credit for Advanced Placement (AP) courses". Получают их только те, кто закончил соответствующие курсы во время учебы в школе и получил "отлично" (5 или А) или "очень хорошо" (4 или В). В переводе на "язык" IB это оценки 7, 6 и, иногда, 5 за конкретный курс. О засчитывании или незасчитывании курсов/кредитов решает сам университет. Вот что пишет, например, Harvard University:
"Students who have earned the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma with a grade of 7 on at least three Higher Level examinations may qualify for Advanced Standing. Students wishing to use IB exams for Advanced Standing should request that the IB office (212-696-4464) send an official IB transcript directly to Harvard.
Credit toward the bachelor's degree for new students not admitted as transfer students is offered only on the basis of AP or IB examinations ... The College does not grant credit toward a Harvard degree for courses taken at other universities prior to matriculation."
Цитата из правил Stanford University: "Stanford University awards advanced placement credit for certain Higher Level examinations with scores of 5, 6, or 7. Credit is awarded at the discretion of individual academic departments through the Office of the University Registrar."
Ну и в заключение: "University of Chicago does award credit for IB work, recognizing that good scores on the higher level examinations signal college-level proficiency. Students may receive up to a year's worth of credit in a given subject for scores of 6 or 7 on the higher level exams. Scores of 5 on the higher level exams are subject to faculty review. Students who have not earned the Diploma but who present good scores may also petition for credit."
Я нарочно цитировал правила элитных университетов, статус IB в хороших, но не элитных школах может быть еще выше.
Справедливости ради следует привести следующую цитату Harvard University / Harvard's Advanced Standing program:
"Harvard's Advanced Standing program is designed for undergraduates who plan to graduate in three years or plan to complete the A.B./A.M. program in four years. This is a choice made at the end of two years of study at Harvard. To be eligible for this, students who have taken College Board Advanced Placement exams need a total of four full credits, earned by scoring a 5 on a minimum of four AP tests. Full International Baccalaureate diploma holders with three higher-level subject scores of 7 are also eligible for Advanced Standing. Entering students with outstanding records on foreign examinations such as British A-Levels, French Baccalaureate, or German Abitur may qualify for eligibility on submissions of their credentials for evaluation upon their arrival in the College." -
выражаясь юридическим немецким, для IB существует "IST"-Anspruch, а для других трех "KANN"-Anspruch. В случае "KANN"-Anspruchа то, какие дополнительные требования будут предъявлены, какой Аби будет признан "outstanding", а какой нет и будет ли это все в конечном случае зачтено остается на усмотрение конкретного факультетского "чиновника".
