An-12 collided in the air with unidentified helicopter

The mid-air collision took place over the Kabul airbase because of an error on the part of ground controller, which misdirected the helicopter for landing. The aircraft, commanded by A.D. Grigoryev, was transporting 18 passengers to Tashkent. All board were killed, including Grigoryev, V.M. Botov, A.A. Brill, V.A. Gogin, A.D. Grigoryev, V.N. Domaskin, A.V. Efimov, V.I. Kuznetsov, V.M. Kukota, A.A. Lyapustin, R.I. Mateyun.
