Summary of Research Activities
A primary goal of research in my laboratory is a better understanding of the genetic and evolutionary factors that influence populations; e.g., forces that maintain coherence among populations, and those that lead to divergence and speciation. The current model system is the population genetics of human Y chromosomes and the molecular evolution of hominoid Y chromosomes.
