Моссад имеет солидный опыт в области "false flag operations" (т.е. провокаций), и некоторые из этих операций провалились, вспомнить хотя бы "Lavon Affair" или атаку на американский разведывательный корабль "USS Liberty".
В обоих случаях вину планировалось возложить на арабов.
Любопытно, что в разгар конфликта в Мумбае кто-то выдал себя за индийского министра иностранных дел и позвонил президенту Пакистана, угрожая Пакистану войной. Две ядерные державы оказались на грани ядерной войны. Спрашивается, кому все это было бы выгодно?

In 1983, Israel learned of and refused to warn the US about a plot to bomb the American embassy in Beirut and its accompanying Marine Barracks that resulted in the deaths of close to 250 Americans.
In 1995, immediately following the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Israeli spies and provocateurs working in American media tried pinning the attack on Iraq.
