i totally agree, yet the easiest way is to learn it with a decent template. after all, the goal is to learn the 8-finger system
it took me months to get used to the french keyboard layout (ok, i only used it rarely), and I don't want to waste a lot of time by calling up images just to find a certain letter... rather invest 25┬ and get over it as quickly as possible. the time thus saved i will invest to hammer russian grammar into my brain
